The Broken Shovel

Finding a broken shovel makes you appreciate finding a good one even more. I was in no hurry as I ran I spent most of my run picking up trash on the beach.

I need to start spending at least one run a week picking up trash off the beach that brings me so much joy.

Why do I pick up all this crap from the Beach?

a lot of it is trash and I'm helping clean the beach. I also pick up a lot of glass and other debris that go straight into the trash cans especially balloons.

it's fun going on a quest for something and it makes it even more interesting not knowing what that something is gonna be. I may be the only person in the world who gets excited to find a broken shovel.

I live in a capitalist society the desire to consume has been ingrained in me through marketing and advertising ever since I was a small child. I quench that thirst with what I find on the beach. Way better than spending money I don't have, on crap I don't need at the local Target.
